Chromatic Isle
A downloadable game for Windows
Chromatic Isle is a short love letter to some of my favorite first person puzzlers such as Myst, Portal, and Superliminal, with a specific focus on the intersection between Music and Gameplay.
The game focuses on a few sound toys which I've turned into puzzles. Playtime on average is about 35 minutes. I recommend most players begin in the Spring (pink) area if you don't play many first-person puzzlers, but you can play through them in any order that you'd like.
I recommend that you adjust the volume of the game on your PC so that the music in the hub area is slightly louder than you would usually like it. Not deafening, but louder than normal. This is important, as there are some mixed sound elements which may be more difficult to identify if the game is quieter.
As a solo developer I highly value any feedback you can give. If you have any critiques, affirmations, or general thoughts about the game, I highly appreciate feedback in all forms.
Thank you for reading - I hope you enjoy!

I really enjoyed playing Chromatic isle! Beautifully designed from the puzzles to the music. 10/10
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it
Awesome! Really strikes a nice balance of visual clues while keeping listening and recalling sounds as its core. Oddly though, I think your recommended starting area is the one I found hardest!
I'm glad you liked it! That's funny that you found it difficult haha. Typically people find Winter to be the hardest as it is made up of the most complex elements.
A great elegant puzzle game! Awesome stuff! Gimme more levels
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I'll definitely consider making the game longer if enough people are interested - there are so many fun music / sound puzzle ideas that I've got in mind. Thanks for playing!
